Suites

One suite today. Each entry states the board it targets, the tier it can hold, and where the build actually stands.

Core inventory

Eight cores, none installed

Eight libretro cores are planned to cover the tier. None of them is installed, because nothing is imaged yet. The PS1 core is the one the suite is validated against first, in Phase 1; the rest follow it.

  • lr-pcsx-rearmed PS1. Validated first, in Phase 1.
  • lr-mupen64plus-next N64. Stretch.
  • lr-fbneo Arcade, CPS1/2, Neo Geo.
  • lr-mame2003-plus Older arcade sets. Fallback when a set misses on lr-fbneo.
  • lr-snes9x SNES.
  • lr-genesis-plus-gx Mega Drive.
  • lr-mgba GBA.
  • lr-gambatte Game Boy, Game Boy Color.

Four players

The constraint is power, not ports

The 3B has four USB ports, so four wired pads are physically achievable. Each pad draws roughly 50 to 100 mA, against a 2.5 A supply that is also running the board. Four controllers recognised at once with no under-voltage event is a stated acceptance criterion, not an assumption, and if the supply will not hold it, a powered hub goes in the box. The measurement has not been taken.

Library

Ten pending, none confirmed

A title enters the library only after it has been launched on the hardware and confirmed playable. Results are recorded either way; a failure is written down as a failure rather than quietly dropped. Nothing has been launched, so every one of the ten stands at pending.

The PS1 BIOS is pending too, and which image is used affects compatibility. That question is open.

The suite ships no game content and this site distributes none. What the catalogue describes is what the hardware runs, by platform and era. Bringing your own media is your affair.

A library of untested entries is worse than a short one.
